Shinawatra University, in partnership with Eka Prasetya School of Business and Economics and Universitas Riau Kepulauan, Indonesia, recently concluded a successful international conference focused on fostering innovation and collaboration in the face of a rapidly changing global education landscape.

The event, held on November 22, 2024, brought together academics and thought leaders from across the region. Four distinguished keynote speakers offered their expertise:

  • Assoc. Prof. Zhou Fei, President of Shinawatra University, shared insights into innovative education strategies for the Smart 5.0 Era.
  • Dr. Chai Ching Tan highlighted strategies for adapting to the evolving challenges in global education.
  • Dr. Albert Efendi Pohan, M.Pd., from Universitas Riau Kepulauan, emphasized the crucial role of collaboration in modern education.
  • Dr. Petrus Loo focused on bridging the gap between education and entrepreneurship.


A highlight of the conference was the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) and Implementation Agreement between the three institutions. This agreement paves the way for:

  • Franchise program collaboration: Expanding educational opportunities through shared resources and expertise.
  • Joint research and student exchange: Fostering a vibrant academic environment with cross-cultural learning.
  • Curriculum development: Creating cutting-edge programs that equip students for the global economy.
  • Future events and training: Continuing the dialogue and providing valuable professional development opportunities.


This conference marks a significant step in solidifying the partnership between Shinawatra University, Eka Prasetya School of Business and Economics, and Universitas Riau Kepulauan. The collaboration promises to shape the future of education and drive innovation in the region and beyond.
